Absentee Ballots for the STATE ELECTION to be held on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2010, are now available at the Town Clerk's Office. An individual may request an application if unable to vote at the polls on election day due to his/her absence from the Town during the hours the polls will be open (7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.), physical disability, or religious belief. The application must be received by 12:00 noon on NOVEMBER 1ST.
If you have any questions, please call the Town Clerk's Office at 585-0502. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed noon to 1:00 p.m. for lunch). You may vote absentee during office hours.
Additionally, the Town Clerk's office will be open for evening hours on Tuesday, October 19th and October 26th, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Qualified voters may vote absentee during this time.
The Town Clerk's Office will close at 12 noon on Monday, November 1st, so the staff may prepare for the election and set up the polling location. The Town Clerk's Office will be closed all day on ELECTION DAY, Tuesday, November 2nd, and will remain closed until 1:00 p.m. on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD, in order to process the election returns.
As a reminder for Election Day voting, the polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close t 8:00 p.m. At the Kingston Elementary School (Precincts 1,2,3), PLEASE enter the polling area through the side cafetorium door entrance via the paved walkway. At the Kingston Town House (Precinct 4), PLEASE enter the building via the back entrance.
