AutoMARK voting equipment is available at Kingston's polling locations. This equipment allows voters with disabilities and other special needs to mark a ballot privately and independently and is designed to serve all voters needs:
-
Voters with sight impairment can use audio assist to have ballot read using earphones
-
Voters with low vision can enlarge ballot print or change contrast on the screen
-
Voters who have difficulty with marking the ballot with a pen (even a temporary condition such as a broken arm), may also benefit by using the device
Voters may use the self-guided system, and trained poll workers are available to guide those who may want additional assistance.
