Nomination Papers Now Available


Nomination papers are available at the Town Clerk's Office for all candidates for office, including those candidates seeking re-election. The annual Town election is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2008.

Officials whose terms expire this year include the following. Positions are for three-year terms unless otherwise indicated.

§ Frances E. Botelho-Hoeg, Moderator (one year position);

§ Mary Lou Murzyn, Town Clerk;

§ Vacancy, two year position, Selectman;

§ Paul M. Gallagher and Sandra D. MacFarlane, Selectmen;

§ William J. Twohig, Assessor;

§ John S. LaBrache, Town Treasurer;

§ Eric J. Crone and Stacey L. Elmes, Kingston Elementary School Committee;

§ Brian G. McWilliams and Vanessa M. Verkade, Trustees of Library;

§ Geralde S. Buckley, S. L. Regional School Committee;

§ Robert R. Kostka, Water Commissioner;

§ Susan M. Farrell, Planning Board (five year position);

§ Norman P. Harbinson, Jr. and Linda M. Rohr, Recreation Commissioners;

§ John C. Breen and William E. Watson, Board of Health;

§ Peter C. Cobb, Sewer Commissioner;

§ Vacancy, Housing Authority (five year position);

All candidates are required to circulate nomination papers and obtain 50 signatures of registered voters. The last day to obtain nomination papers is March 6, 2008, at 5:00 p.m., and the papers must be filed with the Board of Registrars by 5:00 p.m. on March 10th.
