2011 Shellfishing Licenses Now Available

The Kingston Shellfish season opens for 2011 on April 6th. This is the ninth full year of shellfishing in Kingston waters. Shellfishing is allowed on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays  between the hours of sunrise and sunset.

To see if the beds are open on a given day, you may call the recorded message at (781) 585-0519 (the Harbormaster's Office), or www.kingstonmass.org on the homepage under the "Shellfishing" link.

Shellfish licenses may be obtained at the Selectmen's Office, Town Hall, 26 Evergreen St., Kingston (second floor, Room 207) from 8:45am to 4:00pm, Monday thru Friday.  You must present your driver’s license or photo ID in order to obtain a Shellfish License.

 

The fees for the 2011 season are:

•  Resident:  $40.00
•  Resident Senior (62 or older):  15.00
•  Resident Senior (70 or older):  FREE  (must have license)
•  Non-Residents $100.00 which includes a parking permit conditional for Grays Beach.

The season ends October 31, 2011.
